A Perception Survey of Non-Tariff Measures Experienced by Firms in South Asia
SAWTEE is implementing a project titled “A perception survey of Non-Tariff Measures experienced by firms in South Asia” in collaboration with World Bank South Asia and Indian Council for Research and International (ICRIER). The overall objective of the project is to carry out a multi-year firm level perception of non-tariff measure impeding trade between India and Nepal to help measure changes in the trading environment and the reported impact of pro-regional trade policies. The study also aims to build a baseline survey database for specific products, which can be periodically monitored and revised to assess whether, over the years, there has been favourable improvement in market access in trade with India by collecting the experience of both exporters of a selected product in the home country plus importers of that same product in the partner country.
