Nepal’s industry and export sector continue to flounder.

Lack of coordination between varied government agencies has made Nepal’s progress in industry and export a dull one. 

The failure of industry promotion agencies under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and export promotion agencies under the Ministry of Finance to harmonise their actions has led to near-zero implementation of a number of facilities created to promote industry and export says the report entitled “Trade Policy Coherence and Coordination in Nepal: An Exploratory Assessment”.
